ALccd IMG0H CCD digital camera, cooled monochrome /*C*or*C*/ color version with auto guider port
The IMG0H is a high speed planetary camera. By using the newest SONY Exview ICX618AL CCD sensor /*C*and*C*/ 14bit high speed AD converter, the IMG0H gives a high QE /*C*and*C*/ high dynamic image capture capability. With the cooling function, the IMG0H can be used for deep sky image also, especially for small size planetary nebula /*C*and*C*/ small size galaxy capture. It is also very suitable for multi-wavelength planetary /*C*and*C*/ deep sky object capture.
The IMG0H has a build in guide port /*C*and*C*/ cooling. The guide port can be used for guiding astronomical telescopes. The IMG0H will give you maximum capability of astronomy /*C*and*C*/ biology imaging!
IMG0H is a 14 bit high speed CCD camera designed for astronomical, industrial /*C*and*C*/ biological imaging applications. The core of the IMG0H is Sony Exview ICX618ALA CCD which has a peak quantum efficiency of 68%. Thanks to Sony Exview technology, the microlensing structure on the CCD improves the sensitivity of the sensor greatly especially at near infrared spectrum (700nm-1000nm). Consequently, IMG0H also excels at near infrared applications such as inspection of solar cells.
An optional but highly recommended one-stage TEC cools the CCD 30 degrees below ambient. It reduces the hot pixels /*C*and*C*/ dark noises substantially. Furthermore, a slow readout mode enables reduction of readout noise /*C*and*C*/ thus, improving the signal to noise ratio which is crucial for low-light operation.
For astronomical application, the sensitive sensor combines with fast frame rate helps the planetary imagers to capture the steadiest seeing moment. At 640 x 480 (native) @ 14 bit output, IMG0H captures at a rate of 30fps. Tuning down to 8bit, the frame rate surges to 53fps. For the curious souls, there is also a GigE version but it's /*C*not*C*/ available yet.
Last but /*C*not*C*/ least, the Sony sensitive sensor combines with ST-4 opto-isolated guider port makes IMG0H a very capable autoguider.
